Hempstead, NY - The Hofstra men's basketball team will look to extend its win streak to five games on Monday when the Pride travels to Towson for a rare afternoon contest on Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
Tip-off from SECU Arena is scheduled for 12 p.m.
The game will air on FloHoops and WRHU (88.7 FM) will have an audio-only broadcast available. Links to both broadcasts, as well as the live statistics, can be found on this page and on the men's basketball schedule page at GoHofstra.com.
Hofstra extended its win streak to four games on Saturday with a dominating 86-62 victory over Delaware. The Pride was led in scoring in the contest by
Aaron Estrada and
Warren Williams with 17 points apiece. The win moved Hofstra's record to 12-7 overall and 5-1 in Colonial Athletic Association play.
Towson, which is now 11-7 and 3-2 in the league, also had a rather easy victory on Saturday as they defeated Monmouth by the score of 68-48. Ryan Conway led the Tigers with 17 points, while Charles Thompson had 11 points and 11 rebounds.
Hofstra is 46-29 all-time against Towson. The 75 all-time meetings between the Pride and the Tigers ranks as Hofstra's third-most played opponent of all-time (Delaware - 101 and Drexel - 96). Towson won both meetings a season ago, but the Pride has won seven of the last nine and 10 of the last 14 in the series. The meetings began with an 86-71 Hofstra win during the 1982-83 season.
