Hofstra Places Fifth At Wildcat Fall Invitational

Villanova, PA - Dino Capazario finished 11th and Hofstra placed fifth at the Wildcat Fall Invitational, hosted by Villanova at the Radnor Valley Country Club.

Capazario just missed out on his second top-10 finish of the season after slipping from eighth-place after day one with a final round 75 (+5). The Hofstra senior was one stroke out of the top 10 with his three-round score of 217 (+7).

Hofstra's finishers were:
11-Dino Capazario, 73-69-75=217 (+7)
T20-Jaxon Hummel, 71-76-77=224 (+14)
T30-Taishi Shigaki, 75-79-75=229 (+19)
T33-Vincent Apostolico, 76-80-76=232 (+22)
T33-Joseph Giamanco, 73-80-79=232 (+22)

Hofstra shot a 899 (+59) as a team following team rounds of 292 (+12), 304 (+24), and 303 (+23). Rhode Island won the team title at 851 (+11). Fairleigh Dickinson was second at 855 (+15), followed by Villanova in third at 866 (+26). Bryant was fourth at 877 (+37) and Saint Peter's was sixth at 914 (+74). Brett Reid of Liberty, playing as an individual, was the player medalist at 200 (-10). Reid shot a final round 66 (-4) and was the only competitor in the 40-player field to shoot below par each round.

Hofstra will return to action October 10-11 at The Seawane Club Classic hosted by LIU at the Seawane Club in Hewlett Harbor, New York.
