Set scores were 15-25, 14-25, and 21-25.
Freshman
Clara Bal led Hofstra with seven kills, while junior
Yagmur Cinel and senior
Zyare Abdul-Rahim each added six.
Megan Sheridan and Mariah Grunze both tallied 10 kills for the Bulldogs.
Sophomores
Chiara Cucco and
Beatriz Alves contributed 10 digs and 23 assists, respectively.
Hofstra returns to the court this afternoon when it takes on Portland at 4 p.m. local time (6 p.m. EST).
NOTES
- Hofstra is 1-1 all-time against Butler. It was the first meeting since 2007.
- The 10 digs were the third time this season in double figures for Cucco.
