Hofstra Adds Vaillancourt To Roster

Hempstead, NY - Hofstra University Head Softball Coach Adrienne Clark bolstered her squad with the addition of NFCA All-Region catcher Becca Vaillancourt, who is joining the Pride following two seasons at UMass-Lowell.

"We are thrilled to add Becca to our team," said Coach Clark. "She brings a wealth of experience, and is a threat offensively and behind the plate."

A native of Tiverton, Rhode Island, Vaillancourt earned NFCA All-Northeast Region Third Team accolades and was a Second Team All-America East selection after batting a team-best .310 with 13 doubles, two home runs, and 18 RBIs this past season. Adept behind the plate, Vaillancourt posted a .991 fielding percentage and threw out eight would-be base stealers to rank second in the conference.

Vaillancourt has started 52 of 53 career games for the River Hawks and boasts a career batting average of .316.

As a scholastic player at St. Mary Academy - Bay View, Vaillancourt was a three-time all-division and one-time All-Rhode Island selection. She batted above .400 in all three seasons and compiled 79 hits and 54 RBIs during her career.

Vaillancourt will be a junior in 2022-23 and is majoring in criminology.
