Clara Bal had the first double-double of her career with 15 kills and 12 digs in Hofstra's four-set loss to Bryant on Saturday afternoon in the Hofstra Invitational finale at the David S. Mack Physical Education Center.
Hofstra falls to 1-2 on the young season, while Bryant is now 1-2 as well.
Senior
Zyare Abdul-Rahim was also in double figures with 11 kills for the Pride.
Hofstra captured the second set in the match as they broke a 9-9 tie with six straight points that included a kill and a block from Bal.

Sarah Pierre had a match-high 10 blocks in the contest, while sophomore
Beatriz Alves posted 39 assists and nine digs and classmate
Chiara Cucco picked up 11 digs.
Caroline Kennedy had 16 kills to pace the Bulldogs, while Mia Cergol had 20 assists and 10 digs.
Hofstra is back in action on Tuesday when it travels to Seton Hall for a 7 p.m. match.

- Hofstra is now 3-1 all-time against Bryant. This marked the first meeting since 2017.
