Hempstead, NY - The Hofstra volleyball team will kick-off the 2022 season this weekend when it hosts the two-day Hofstra Invitational. 

The six-match tournament will be played at the David S. Mack Physical Education Center on Friday and Saturday. 

All six matches will have live video available on FloVolleyball, with the Hofstra matches having audio commentary provided by our partners at WRHU (88.7 FM). 

Hofstra will host Niagara at 10 a.m. on Friday to get the tournament underway. The Pride will also be in action on Friday at 7 p.m. against Miami (FL) and then on Saturday at 1 p.m. versus Bryant. 

Hofstra won 15 matches a season ago and advanced to the Colonial Athletic Association Semifinals. Two members of this year's team, Chiara Cucco and Beatriz Alves, were named to the Preseason All-CAA Volleyball team. 

This will be the third-ever meeting between Hofstra and Niagara with the Pride winning both previous encounters. The last meeting was a three-set win in 1994. The Pride has only faced the Hurricanes once in its history, winning a five-set contest in 2007. Hofstra is 3-0 all-time against Bryant, capturing a three-set win in 2017.
