Hempstead, NY - The Hofstra men's basketball schedule for the upcoming 2022-23 season is becoming clearer by the day and the latest addition to the schedule is a road tilt against Purdue.
The game against the Boilermakers will take place on Wednesday, December 7 in West Lafayette, Indiana.
"As we have proven recently our program will not shy away from a challenging non-conference schedule," commented Hofstra Head Coach
Speedy Claxton. "Our players want to play in those types of environments and our program has thrived in those environments. These types of games are also great tests as we prepare for conference play."
Hofstra has made a habit recently of earning wins and competing well against Power Five and Group of Five institutions. During the 2021-22 campaign, the Pride defeated Arkansas, while dropping a two-point game to Maryland and falling in overtime to Houston. Hofstra also earned a win over UCLA during the 2019-20 season and defeated Florida State in 2015-16.
This will mark the second-ever meeting between Hofstra and Purdue in men's basketball as the Pride traveled to Mackey Arena on November 11, 2012.
