Towson, MD - Elijah Dickerson's RBI triple in the bottom of the 10th inning gave Towson a 5-4 win over Hofstra in the finale of a three-game series at Schuerholz Park. Hofstra had forced extra innings with a run in the top of the ninth.
Hofstra's winning streak was snapped at four games as the Pride is now 18-16 overall and 9-6 in Colonial Athletic Association play. Towson is 10-29 overall and 1-11 in the CAA.
Hofstra rallied from one-run deficits three times in the game. Trailing 1-0 in the top of the third,
Anthony D'Onofrio knocked in
Ryan Morash, who had doubled, with a single up the middle to tie the score. Down 3-2 in the top of the sixth,
Kevin Bruggeman led off the inning with a solo home run to tie the game. Then in the ninth with a runner on first and down to their final strike,
Steve Harrington doubled to right with the tying run scoring on a misplay in the outfield.
In the Towson 10th, Jordan Peyton reached on an error to start the inning. Following a strikeout, Dickerson tripled to right center to drive in the winning run.
Morash finished with three hits, including the 100th of his career, and a pair of runs scored.
Will Kennedy had two hits.
Michael O'Hanlon (2-2) took the hard-luck loss after allowing a hit and an unearned run in one inning with three strikeouts.
Doug Marose (2-1) was the pitcher of record on the winning side and worked 2/3 of an inning without giving up a hit or a run. Dickerson had two hits with a
triple and a home run.
Hofstra returns to action Tuesday at Rutgers with a 3 p.m. start time.
Notes:
-Hofstra is 40-51 all-time versus Towson.
-D'Onofrio extended his on-base streak to 22 games, while
Jake Liberatore has a 13-game streak.
-Morash, who now has 102 career hits, has three three-hit games this season.
-Bruggeman's home run was his fifth of the season and extended his hitting streak to seven games.

Brad Camarda took a no decision after allowing four runs on six hits in seven innings with seven strikeouts.
