Savannah Weyrauch remained in contention at the 2022 CAA Championship following a second round 73 (+1) Saturday at The Reserve Course at St. James. Weyrauch is in sixth place in the 40-player field at 149 (+5), five strokes off the lead.
The Pride sophomore posted 13 pars, two birdies, and three bogeys during her second round with the 73 representing a new career low score.
Cynthia Zhao is tied for 33rd-place at 162 (+18) following a second round 77 (+5).
Cameron Waltman is 38th at 170 (+26) after shooting a second round 82 (+10).
Emmah Federman has a two-round score of 171 (+27) with an 86 (+14) Saturday. Hofstra's original fifth golfer
Claire Galante was substituted for by
Mai Takahashi, who carded a 91 (+19) in her Saturday round.
Delaware's Christina Carroll holds the individual lead at 144 (E) after posting a 68 (-4) Saturday to move up seven spots. She holds a one stroke lead over first round leader Emma Schimpf of Charleston, who is at 145 (+1) after a second round 72 (E).
Charleston holds the team lead at 592 (+16) followed by Delaware at 598 (+22) and UNCW at 602 (+26). Elon is fourth at 611 (+35) with Towson in fifth at 626 (+50) and William & Mary in sixth at 632 (+56). The Pride is seventh at 652 (+76).
The final round of the CAA Championship gets underway Sunday at 8 a.m.
