Haworth, NJ – The Hofstra women's golf team holds the top six spots on the leaderboard following the first round of The Battle at the Beech hosted by Dominican College at White Beeches Golf and Country Club.

Cameron Waltman, who is playing as an individual, sits in first place at 81 (+9). Savannah Weyrauch and Mai Takahashi, who is also competing as an individual, are tied for second at 83 (+11). Emmah Federman and Claire Galante are tied for fourth at 85 (+13), while Cynthia Zhao is tied for sixth at 86 (+14). Maya Torpey shot an 89 (+17) and is tied for ninth and Hannah Morello is 15th at 105 (+33).

Hofstra is the lone participating team in the tournament as Dominican, Post University and American International have individual entrants only in the 16-player field.

The Battle at the Beech will conclude with Tuesday's final round.
