Staten Island, NY – The Hofstra women's track team continued its season-opening weekend of competition at the St. John's Invite, held at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex in Staten Island, New York.
April Ivan represented the Pride in the shot put and recorded a mark of 7.44m (24' 5") to place her 26th in the event. In the track events, Hofstra had a number of competitors running in the 60m dash preliminaries.
Deandra Baker (47th, 8.89),
Lauren Dietrich (48th, 8.99), Tori Bien (51st, 9.36),
Rachel Lande (52nd, 9.45), and Savannah Weyrauch (56th, 9.61) all competed in the preliminary event.
Hofstra returns to competition on December 9 from the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex for the Wagner College Invite.
