Bronx, NY – Six members of the Hofstra women's cross country team raced in Friday's NCAA Division I Northeast Regional Championship in Van Cortlandt Park in the Bronx, New York.
Jordyn McDonnell was the highest-placing Hofstra runner in the 6K race, clocking in at 22:02.8 to finish 82nd. She was joined by Allison Reid in 154th with a time of 23:11.0,
Sophia Masciarelli in 182nd with a time of 23:41.1, Jackalynn Orellana in 195th with a time of 23:55.1, Leslie Villafuerte Castro in 214th with a time of 24:22.3, Samantha Szabo in 241st with a time of 26:12.5, and Julia Mansfield in 249th with a time of 26:52.7.
The Pride earned 818 points in the race, placing 28th in the team standings. Hofstra finished four points ahead of 29th-place Rhode Island and four points behind Canisius in 27th. Providence scored 71 points, winning the Northeast Regional Championship team event, and Harvard's Maia Ramsden took home first place with a time of 20:20.6.
