Hofstra Wraps Up Play At ITA Northeast Regional

Philadelphia, PA - Bo Cautaerts and Vincent Turina advanced to the second round of the singles draw at the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Northeast Regional at the University of Pennsylvania. The pair were eliminated in the round of 64 by seeded players.

Cautaerts defeated Niagara's Tanner Bedard, 6-4 and 6-3, in the round of 128 to advance in the draw. He would fall in the round of 64 to Buffalo's Cheng Tang, 6-2 and 6-3. Tang was seeded in the 17-24 block.

Turina posted a 7-5, 6-1 win over Jeremy Learner of Lehigh in the round of 128 before dropping a 7-5, 6-2 decision to Yale's Aidan Reilly. Reilly was seeded in the 17-24 block as well.

In other singles action, Josh Reynolds, Matthew Garcia, and Jonathan Mahrt Guyou each lost their round of 128 matches. In doubles play, Cautaerts and Ostap Kovalenko lost in the round of 64, as did the tandem of Kaita Odani and Hideki Matsuoka.
