Hofstra Looks For Lucky 13 With Non-Conference Match Versus Chicago State

| By:
Hempstead, NY - The Hofstra volleyball team will look for lucky win #13 in a row this Sunday when it hosts Chicago State in a late-season non-conference match-up.

First serve from the David S. Mack Physical Education Center is scheduled for 1 p.m.

The match will air on FloVolleyball, with audio provided by WRHU (88.7 FM).

Hofstra won both of its matches last weekend against Delaware to extend the win streak to 12 consecutive matches. It entered the week with the nation's fifth-longest win streak and the streak is now the sixth-longest in program history.

The Pride is now 15-8 overall and 12-0 in Colonial Athletic Association play. Following their final non-conference match of the season, Hofstra will return to league play with Northeastern visiting Hempstead on November 5 and 6.

Chicago State is 5-13 overall and most recently dropped a four-set decision to the Pride's conference rival Towson on October 23.

Hofstra is 2-0 all-time against Chicago State with the last match occurring during the 1996 campaign. The Pride and the Cougars were both members of the East Coast Conference in 1993 and met in the conference tournament for the first-ever meeting between the teams.
