Hofstra Places Sixth, Capazario Ties For Third At Nassau Invitational

Glen Cove, NY - Dino Capazario and Vincent Apostolico each shot a final round 71 (+1) as play concluded at the 2022 Nassau Invitational at Nassau Country Club. Hofstra finished sixth in the 10-team tournament hosted by LIU.

Capazario was the Pride's top finisher, tying for third in the 57-player field with a 213 (+3). It was his second top-five finish of the season. Apostolico had his best round of the event and climbed 12 spots to finish in a tie for 30th-place at 225 (+15).

Jaxon Hummel had a final round 81 (+11) and finished with a 231 (+21) to tie for 41st-place. Joseph Giamanco finished tied for 44th at 233 (+23) following a final round 79 (+9). Taishi Shigaki placed 46th at 234 (+24) with a final round 79 (+9).

Tyler Gerbavsits of St. John's was the individual champion at 208 (-2) following a final round 68 (-2). Dragon Theam of Army West Point was second at 212 (+2).

The Red Storm won the team title at 858 (+18). Army West Point was second at 871 (+31). Hofstra had a three-round score of 895 (+55).

The Nassau Invitational was the final tournament of the fall season for the Pride.
