Hempstead, NY – Following her outstanding collegiate career with the Hofstra women's soccer program,
Lucy Porter has signed her first professional contract with Lewes FC, a member of the Isthmian League Premiere Division in England.
Porter, one of the most decorated Hofstra student-athletes of all-time, recently concluded a stellar five-year career in Hempstead. Porter is Hofstra's only three-time United Soccer Coaches All-American, collecting the accolade during the 2019, 2020, and 2021 seasons, including first team distinction in 2020 when she became Hofstra's first first team All-American in program history. In addition, she collected back-to-back-to-back Colonial Athletic Association Midfielder of the Year honors and is a four-time All-CAA first team selection. One of the highest honors of Porter's career occurred during the 2020 season when she was named a semifinalist for the MAC Hermann Trophy.
Porter was also a standout in the classroom, collecting two consecutive CoSIDA Academic All-America honors (2020, 2021), and is also a two-time United Soccer Coaches Scholar All-American. She was also named to the Senior CLASS All-America First Team following the 2020 season and earned the CAA Leadership and Sport Excellence Award the same year.
Porter closed out her career at Hofstra as the Pride's all-time leader in points (123). She is also tied for second in goals (48) and tied for second all-time in assists (27). Her 123 points also finished ninth all-time in the CAA.
Porter joins Hofstra alum Rhian Cleverly '18 on Lewes FC who signed with the team in July 2019.
