Similar to Saturday, Hofstra won the first set and did so in dominating fashion as they hit .323 and held Northeastern under .100 in rolling to the early set victory. A close second set that saw each team use huge runs went the way of Northeastern before Hofstra took a 2-1 lead in the match with another strong showing in the third set. The Pride once again hit over .300 and kept the Northeastern offense in check to take the lead in the contest.
As they did on Saturday, Northeastern would win the fourth set to set up another five-setter between the league rivals. With the fifth set knotted at three, Hofstra scored four straight points, including two off of kills from Abdul-Rahim, to earn a 7-3 advantage. A kill from junior
Athina Dimitriadis later in the set pushed the lead to 10-4 before Northeastern chipped away. The Huskies got to within 12-10 before a kill from sophomore
Yagmur Cinel ended any thoughts of a comeback and sent the Pride on their way to the thrilling win.
