Burlington, VT - The Hofstra field hockey team battled hard all afternoon, but the Pride was defeat 2-1 in overtime in a non-conference match against Vermont Friday afternoon from Moulton Winder Field. Hofstra's record drops to 2-3 following the loss on the road.
Trailing 1-0 late in the third period following a goal by Alina Gerke,
Eline Oldeman found the back of the net for the first time as a Hofstra student-athlete to even the score at 1-1. Following a restart after a foul by Vermont (3-2) near the top of the arc, Oldeman took the ball to her left, entered into the shooting arc, and fired low. With
