Hempstead, NY - Hofstra senior Alyssa Parrella concluded her regular season in style as she was named the Colonial Athletic Association Player of the Week, it was announced this morning by the conference office. 

It is the third time this season and the 13th time in Parrella's career she has been named the conference's player of the week. 

It was another incredible performance in a career filled with them for Parrella as she led the Pride to another ranked win, defeated #25 Towson, 15-14, on Saturday afternoon. 

Parrella posted a game-high six points on a team-high five goals and an assist, while also adding a career-high 10 draw controls in the game. She also had two ground balls and a caused turnover. The 10 draw controls tied a Hofstra individual season-high. 

Parrella's biggest moment of the game came with 40 seconds left when she fed freshman Kerry Walser for the game-winner. It was the second week in a row where Parrella played a role in the game-winner as she scored the game-winning goal in last week's 10-9 Pride win over the Tigers. 

Parrella and Hofstra will head into the CAA Championship as the three seed and take on James Madison on Friday at 7 p.m. The CAA Championship will take place in Harrisonburg, Virginia.
