Saint Helena Island, SC - Freshman 
Jaxon Hummel shot a final round 74 (+2), his lowest round of the season, to lead Hofstra on the final day of the 2021 Colonial Athletic Association Championship at the Dataw Island Club (par 72, 6787 yards) Tuesday afternoon.
The Pride shot a team score of 320 (+32) for the second consecutive round and placed eighth with a final score of 989 (+125). Charleston won the team title with a three-round 834 (-30). The Cougars set a new CAA Championship record with their score. Drexel was second at 857 (-7), while James Madison was third at 870 (+6). William & Mary, Elon, Delaware, and Towson place fourth through seventh, respectively.
Alec Aronson was Hofstra's top finisher, placing 35th in the 40-player field at 244 (84-77-83, +28). 
Mayaank Gally shot a 251 (89-78-84, +35) and placed 36th. 
Will Freeman was 37th with a 252 (89-83-80, +36), while Hummel was 38th at 258 (97-82-74, +42). 
Mark Roder placed 39th with a 258 (87-88-83, +42).
Hummel had four birdies, nine pars, four bogeys and one double bogey in his season best round. It was also the lowest round of any Pride player during the CAA Championship.
Zach Reuland of Charleston was the individual medalist at 203 (68-68-67, -13). Teammate Logan Sowell (71-69-68) and Drexel's Angelo Giantsopoulos (69-70-69) tied for second at 208 (-8).
