Savannah Weyrauch shot an 80 (+10) to lead Hofstra as the Pride finished second at the Hofstra Classic at Mill Pond Golf Course Saturday afternoon. The final round of the tournament, scheduled for Sunday, was canceled due to forecasted storms.
Wagner had the top two finishers in individual medalist Georgia Naples and Heather McLean. Naples fired a 75 (+5) while McLean was second with a 77 (+7). Weyrauch placed third with her 80. Wagner's Audrey Paradis was fourth with an 83 (+13).
The Pride's
Cameron Waltman and Wagner's Kyree Conaway tied for fifth at 84 (+14).
Emmah Federman of Hofstra and Elise Keane of Wagner tied for seventh at 85 (+15), while
Averee Dovsek finished ninth with an 89 (+19).
The Seahawks posted a team score of 319 (+39). Hofstra recorded a team score of 338 (+58).
Hofstra returns to action on April 5 at the Monmouth Spring Series No. 3.
Notes:
-Weyrauch had back-to-back birdies on holes three and four.Â
-The 80 was Weyrauch's low round of the season.
-Federman's 85 was also her lowest round of the season.Â
