Lucy Porter earned a second weekly honor following Hofstra's season opening victory over Stony Brook as she was named to the College Soccer News Women's National Team of the Week.
Porter found the back of the net twice as Hofstra defeated local rival Stony Brook, 4-3 this past Sunday. She scored the eventual game-winning goal in the 56th minute to give Hofstra the lead before cementing the victory with her second goal of the game in the 63rd minute.
Porter continued to climb up the record books in the win, as her 33 career goals now rank fifth in Hofstra program history. She is now also tied for sixth in total points in Hofstra history with 78 for her career.
The Pride return to the pitch next for a non-conference match against the Fairleigh Dickinson Knights. Kick-off at the Hofstra Soccer Stadium is set for 4 p.m.
