Hempstead, NY - The postseason continues for the Hofstra men's cross country team, as the Pride returns to Franklin Park in Boston, Massachusetts for the 2021 NCAA Division I Northeast Regional Championship.
The men will run a 10K race from Franklin Park on Friday, November 10, at 12 p.m. UMass-Lowell, the host of the 2021 men's and women's regional championships, will provide live timing and results through Millennium Running, with links available on this page and on the men's cross country schedule page on GoHofstra.com.

Vincent Giambanco is expected to bring six runners to Franklin Park for this year's NCAA Regional Championship. Donning the blue and gold of Hofstra on Friday will be

Michael Search,
Michael Silveri,
Zach Van Houten,
Aiden Willey and
Aakash Yagnik.
Giovinazzo, Silveri, Van Houten, Willey and Yagnik all represented Hofstra at the 2021 Colonial Athletic Association Championships on October 30, with the freshman Van Houten placing fifth in the rain-soaked race with a time of 25:08.6 in his first conference championship race. Fellow first-year runner Silveri finished 20th on the day when he broke the tape at 26:10.2. In the second CAA Championship of his Hofstra career, Willey registered a time of 25:08.6 to place 25th out of 48 runners. Yagnik (40th, 29:00.6) and Giovinazzo (46th, 31:13.2) also ran for the Pride. The men the day with a team score of 114 points, placing them fourth in the six-team CAA field.
The top two teams and the top four runners not attached to the qualified teams are automatically selected to compete at the 2021 NCAA Division I Men's Cross Country Championship in Tallahassee, Florida. The at-large selection process for individuals is based on finishing inside the top 25 of a regional championship, while the selection process for teams is based on a review of regular-season competition and the team's finish at the regional championship.
With no regional championships held last season, this will mark the first regional championship since 2019 in Buffalo, New York. Hofstra cross country legend
Alex Masai smashed the school and meet records that day with an eye-popping time of 28:42.3, easily winning the race and qualifying directly to the 2019 NCAA Division I Men's Cross Country Championship.
