East Meadow, NY - Emmah Federman shot a career-best 72 (E) and tied for second at Hofstra's Birdies Against Breast Cancer match against LIU. Federman had a two-round total of 148 (+4) to finish in a three-way tie for second-place. The Sharks' Julia Towne was the individual champion at 144 (E) and LIU won the match overall, 591-622.

The match was played on the par-72 Eisenhower Park White Course.

Federman posted five birdies during her round Thursday to go along with 10 pars. Hofstra's Savannah Weyrauch also set a career-best Thursday, shooting a 75 (+3) and placed sixth at 152 (+8).

Hofstra will be back in action Monday and Tuesday at the Quinnipiac Invitational.
