Cameron Waltman shot a first round 80 (+8) and is tied for third-place after day one of the Fall Hawk Invitational, hosted by Monmouth at Eagle Ridge Golf Club. Hofstra is in fifth-place as a team after 18 holes.
Waltman is in a three-way tie for third in the 38-player field, one stroke out of second and eight strokes off the lead.
Savannah Weyrauch and
Claire Galante are tied for 22nd at 88 (+16).
Mai Takahashi shot a 93 (+21) and is tied for 31st.
Emmah Federman and
Hannah Morello, who was playing as an individual entrant, each shot 95 (+23) and are tied for 34th-place.
The Pride shot a team score of 349 (+61), and is in fifth-place in the six-team field. Monmouth holds the team lead at 321 (+33). Holy Cross is second at 322 (+34), followed by St. Francis (PA) at 340 (+52) and La Salle at 341 (+53). Mount St. Mary's is in sixth-place at 357 (+69).
Ava Lozito of Monmouth is the individual leader at 72 (E), seven strokes ahead of La Salle's Hannah Basler at 79 (+7).
The Fall Hawk Invitational concludes Sunday with round two.
