WGOLF: Federman Is Hofstra's Top Finisher At Quinnipiac Classic

Wallingford, CT – Emmah Federman was Hofstra's top finisher, placing 39th, as play concluded at the Quinnipiac Classic at The Farms Country Club Tuesday afternoon. Hofstra placed 12th as a team in the event.

Federman shot a final round 81 (+9), her second 81 in a row, to finish with a three-round total of 249 (+33). Savannah Weyrauch was the Pride's next finisher, tying for 46th-place with a 255 (+39). Weyrauch shot 85 (+13) in all three rounds.

Mai Takahashi was 52nd with a 260 (+44). The freshman ran into some trouble in her final round, carding a 92 (+20). Averee Dovsek tied for 54th-place at 262 (+46) and rebounded from a rough first day to shoot an 83 (+11) in her final round.

Quinnipiac's Elyse Kim was the individual medalist and led the tournament wire-to-wire. Kim finished with a 223 (+7) to finish six strokes ahead of teammate Aimee Uchida and Jessie Kweon of St. John's, who each finished at 229 (+13), in the 61-player field.

Quinnipiac also won the team title at 918 (+54). St. John's was second in the 12-team field at 937 (+73). Hofstra had a three-round total of 1,026 (+162).

Hofstra is back in action October 16-17 at the Monmouth Fall Invitational.
