Desure Buie was named to the National Association of Basketball Coaches All-District 10 First Team and fellow senior
Eli Pemberton earned second team accolades, it was announced today by the organization.
Buie led Hofstra with 18.2 points, 5.9 assists, and 2.0 steals per game. The CAA Championship Most Outstanding Performer, Buie was a first team All-CAA selection as well. He has totaled 1,310 points, 548 assists, and 203 steals during his career. Hofstra's all-time leader in games played with 141, Buie is 18th all-time in scoring, fourth in assists, and sixth in steals.
Pemberton was second on the team in four different categories as he averaged 17.6 points, 5.6 rebounds, 1.9 assists, and 1.3 steals per outing. Pemberton was also a member of the CAA Championship All-Tournament Team and earned second team All-CAA honors this year. He ranks ninth all-time at Hofstra with 1,982 career points and fourth with 215 three-pointers.
Hofstra finished the season with a 26-8 record, capturing both the regular season CAA title and winning the postseason tournament to earn the program's first NCAA Tournament berth since 2001. The Pride became only the sixth team in conference history (since 1982-83) to win back-to-back outright regular season CAA titles.
