Hempstead, NY - The Hofstra University wrestling team, winners of five consecutive matches, will put its undefeated Eastern Intercollegiate Wrestling Association record on the line Sunday when the Pride hosts Harvard and Brown at the David S. Mack Sports and Exhibition Complex. The Harvard match will begin at 11 a.m. with the Brown match starting at 1:30 p.m.
Hofstra is currently 8-5 on the season and 4-0 in the EIWA. The five-match win streak is Hofstra's longest since the 2011-12 team put together a 10-match streak. Hofstra is also 7-2 at home in 2019-20. Harvard enters the match with a record of 1-8 overall and 1-5 in conference while Brown is 1-7 overall and 1-6 in the EIWA.
The Pride is coming off a dominating 40-5 victory at George Mason last Sunday, winning nine of 10 weight classes. Hofstra had two falls, two major decisions, and a tech fall in the win.
Hofstra has three wrestlers ranked nationally this week as
Dylan Ryder is ranked 25th by Wrestlestat at 125 pounds;
Sage Heller (174) is ranked 30th in the NCAA RPI, 31st by Wrestlestat, and 32nd by The Open Mat, and
Zachary Knighton-Ward is 24th in the RPI at 285.
Since the 1980-81 season, Hofstra is 8-8-1 all-time versus Harvard and 3-10 versus Brown. Hofstra is 0-4-1 in its last five meetings against the Crimson and 1-4 in its last five against the Bears.

Following the two matches Sunday, Hofstra will have one final dual match before the EIWA Championships. The Pride hosts Sacred Heart Saturday, March 22 at 2 p.m.
