Alyssa Parrella has been named one of the top 50 lacrosse players in the nation, women or men, by Inside Lacrosse, it was announced recently.
Parrella was ranked #49 - as Inside Lacrosse considered both men's and women's players and their overall impact to their team and the sport.
Arguably the best player to ever suit up for the Pride, Parrella is a three-time All-American and was a member of the Tewaaraton Award Final Watch List last season.
Parrella posted 31 points on 27 goals and four assists in the shortened 2020 season. She also added 12 draw controls, nine ground balls, and four caused turnovers. She led Hofstra in points and goals, while ranking four in draw controls and fifth in ground balls and caused turnovers.
Parrella has 292 career points on 216 goals and 76 points. She also has 142 draw controls, 88 ground balls, and 41 caused turnovers. She ranks first all-time at Hofstra in goals and points, and fourth in assists. She is second all-time in Colonial Athletic Association in career goals and points.
