Delaware went on to finish the first quarter with a three-point lead over the Pride, 18-15.

During the third quarter, Hofstra got as close as eight points before Delaware opened it up to a 15-point game with a three-pointer at the 8:25 mark in the final stanza. Hofstra turned things around offensively as the Pride went on a 7-0 run to close the gap to eight, with five of those points being scored by Hernandez Gil. The Blue Hens pulled back out to 13, but Hofstra again compiled a 7-0 burst with Kalin, Hernandez Gil and Brown all hitting shots to make it an eight-point game once again, 55-47 in favor of Delaware. The last two minutes of the contest ended just as they started, very defensive, as Delaware was the only team to score in the final 2:03 of action.
