10/22/2019 1:59:00 PM

OPENING KICKOFF
The Hofstra University Women's Soccer team will hit the road this weekend for its final two regular season matches of 2019. The Pride will take on Towson on Thursday, October 24 at 3 p.m. at the Tiger Soccer Park before traveling to William & Mary on Sunday, October 27 for a 1 p.m. meeting with the Tribe.

ABOUT THE HOFSTRA PRIDE
Tabbed No. 15 in the latest RPI rankings while entering the match on an 11-match unbeaten streak, Hofstra (11-3-2, 5-0-2 CAA) is looking to finish the season with an unblemished conference mark against Towson and William & Mary. The Pride are coming off a 1-1 draw against second place UNCW last Sunday in which junior Miri Taylor notched the game-tying goal off assists by juniors Lucy Porter and Sabrina Bryan early in the second half. Porter continues to pace Hofstra with 29 points this season, while Taylor follows with 21 and Bryan as well as junior Lucy Shepherd have accumulated 18 points each.

How to Watch:
Thursday's match against Towson will be streamed live via the Towson Sports Network. In addition, live statistics will be available at HofstraStats.com. Links to both can be found at the top of this release and on the Hofstra women's soccer schedule page.

Inside the Series:
Historically, Hofstra has dominated the all-time series against the Tigers, 22-2-1. Hofstra has won the last seven meetings including a 6-0 rout of the Tigers last season at home when Lucy Porter recorded her first career hat trick.

About the Towson Tigers  (3-12-1, 0-7-0 CAA):
Towson has struggled within the conference since the beginning and has suffered six-straight losses, scoring only two goals during the span. Towson will be entering the match with a chip on their shoulder as the team dropped their last match to Delaware in double overtime, 1-0. Jenna Blank has 10 points (4 goals, 2 assists) to lead the Tigers, while three other players have scored two goals each. Towson has three goalkeepers that all see time, however Lindsey Pazdziorko or Delaney Mitchell will likely get the start against the Pride.

HOFSTRA vs. WILLIAM & MARY – SUNDAY, OCTOBER 27, 2019 AT 1 P.M.

How to Watch:
Sunday's match at William & Mary will be streamed via TribeAthletics.tv. In addition, live statistics will be available at HofstraStats.com. Links to both can be found at the top of this release and on the Hofstra women's soccer schedule page.

Inside the Series:
Hofstra trails the all-time series against William & Mary, 8-11-3. Hofstra has not lost to the Tribe in the last three meetings, however the teams played to a 1-1 draw last season at the Hofstra Soccer Stadium.

About the William & Mary Tribe (4-10-2, 2-4-1 CAA):
Prior to facing Hofstra on Sunday, the Tribe will host the College of Charleston on Thursday evening. Entering this weekend, the Tribe are coming off of a golden-goal victory over Drexel, but have only won that match of their last five despite going into extra time on three occasions. Three players have tallied nine points to lead the Tribe, including Sarah Segan, Alex Kuhnie and Renee Kohler, with Segan and Kuhnie leading the attack with four goals each. Katelyn Briguglio looks to start in goal, and she has recorded 68 saves this year which leads the CAA.

UP NEXT
Hofstra, who has clinched a spot in the 2019 Colonial Athletic Association Championship, will await its seeding after this weekend's matches. With a pair of wins, Hofstra can automatically clinch the regular season championship and No. 1 overall seed in the tournament, as no other team would be able to catch up in the standings even if they were to win out.
