Philadelphia, PA - Hofstra and Drexel exchanged second half goals and neither team would score in overtime, settling for a 1-1 Colonial Athletic Association draw Saturday evening at Vidas Field.

Hofstra, which snapped a two-game losing streak, moved to 5-6-1 on the season overall and 2-2-1 in CAA play. Drexel is now 4-5-2 overall and 2-2-1 in league play.

The teams played a scoreless first half that saw Drexel hold a 6-3 lead in shots and a 3-0 advantage in shots on goal. But Hofstra keeper Alex Ashton was up to the task, making three of his seven saves in the opening 45 minutes.

The Dragons opened the scoring at the 75:14 mark, drawing a penalty kick after a handball in the box by a Hofstra defender. Rodrigues de Palma converted the kick for his second goal of the season. Hofstra answered 3:20 later with a set piece goal. Oscar Ramsay drove a corner kick into the box, which was headed by Frederik Rieper to George O'Malley. The senior captain back heeled it past Cameron Sanders for his second goal of the season.

In overtime, each team had a shot on goal, but could not get the game-winner.

Cameron finished with two saves for Drexel.

Hofstra returns to action Wednesday night (Oct. 16) at home when it welcomes Seton Hall. Kickoff at Hofstra Soccer Stadium is set for 7 p.m.

-Hofstra held a 6-5 advantage in corner kicks.
