Hempstead, NY - The Hofstra Men's Basketball team will put its 10-game win streak on the line as they head to William & Mary on Thursday.
Tip-off from Kaplan Arena is scheduled for 7 p.m.
There will be Pride Productions live video and audio of the game as well as live statistics. Links to all three can be found on this page as well as the men's basketball schedule page at GoHofstra.com. The video broadcast is courtesy of William & Mary and the audio only broadcast is via WRHU (88.7 FM).
This will mark Hofstra's first trip out of the state of New York since facing Kennesaw State in Georgia back on December 1.
Hofstra has been on an incredible ride as of late as their current 10-game win streak has pushed the squad's record to 13-3 overall and a perfect 3-0 in Colonial Athletic Association action. The Pride is the lone undefeated team left in conference play. The 10-game win streak is tied for the sixth-longest in program history and is the Pride's longest in the CAA era (since 2001-02).
The Pride is coming off a thrilling 75-72 win over Northeastern on Saturday as senior
Justin Wright-Foreman drained a 34-foot shot at the buzzer to punctuate his 42-point day and give Hofstra the comeback victory.
William & Mary is currently 3-1 in league play and 7-9 overall after dispatching of Drexel, 84-66, last Saturday. Nathan Knight leads the Tribe with 18.6 points per game and ranks second with 7.1 rebounds per outing. Justin Pierce leads William & Mary in rebounding with an average of 9.2 per outing and is second with 15.5 points per game. Matt Milon is the third Tribe player to average double figures with 12.7 per game.
Wright-Foreman pushed his season average to 26.7 points per outing with Saturday's outing. He is also second on the team with 4.8 rebounds and 3.6 assists per contest. The Pride has two other players averaging in double figures with junior
Eli Pemberton scoring 14 points per game and senior
Desure Buie tallying 10 points per contest. Buie leads the team with 4.9 assists per game, while graduate student
Jacquil Taylor has a team-high 7.6 rebounds per game and chips in with 6.3 points per game.
In a series that has quickly become one of Hofstra's top rivalries, the Pride lead the all-time meetings, 19-13, with all the meetings occurring since Hofstra joined the CAA in the 2001-02 season. The team's split the two meetings last season with each winning on their respective home courts. In addition to their regular season meetings over the past few years, the Pride and Tribe met in the CAA Championship semifinals in both 2014-15 (double overtime) and 2015-16. Hofstra has won two of the last three meetings.
