Elon, NC - The Hofstra Men's Basketball team will conclude its first Colonial Athletic Association road trip of the season on Saturday when it faces Elon. The Pride will bring an 11-game win streak into the contest against the Phoenix. It is the fifth-longest win streak in program history and the third-longest in the nation.
Tip-off from the Schar Center is slated for 7 p.m. This will be the Pride's first-ever appearance in the Schar Center as it opened this season.

Hofstra improved to 14-3 overall and 4-0 in league play with an unbelievable 93-90 triple overtime win over William & Mary on Thursday night. Senior
Justin Wright-Foreman scored 37 points in the contest, while sophomore
Jalen Ray added 19. It was Hofstra's first triple overtime game since a 96-92 victory over Northeastern on January 21, 2016.
Wright-Foreman leads Hofstra in scoring at 27.3 points per game, while adding 4.9 rebounds per game and ranking second on the team with 59 assists. Senior
Desure Buie leads the team with 86 assists ranks third in scoring with 9.8 points per game. Junior
Eli Pemberton is scoring 14.0 points per game to rank second. Graduate student
Jacquil Taylor has been strong at the center position for the Pride and leads the team with 7.8 rebounds per outing, while chipping in with 6.1 points per game. In CAA games only, Wright-Foreman is averaging an astounding 35.5 points per game.
Elon is 5-13 overall and 1-4 in conference play following a tough 81-70 overtime loss to Northeastern at home on Thursday. Steven Santa Ana scored 22 points in the game, while Tyler Seibring had 20 points and 10 rebounds for the Phoenix.
Santa Ana leads Elon in both scoring and rebounding with averages of 16.8 and 6.2, respectively. Seibring ranks second in scoring with 15.8 points per contest, while Sheldon Eberhardt is nearly in double figures with 9.4 points per outing. Eberhardt also has a team-high 62 assists this season.
Hofstra is 6-3 all-time against Elon and they split the season meetings a year ago with each winning on the opponent's home court. The Phoenix has won three of the last four meetings between the teams, but prior to that the Pride had won five straight meetings. Eight of the nine meetings have occured since Elon joined the CAA in 2014-15 with the lone non-conference meeting occuring in the NIT Season Tip-Off early in the 2009-10 season.
