Fairfield, CT - Kevin Radziewicz ,Drew Blake and Tom Ryan each drove in a pair of runs as Fairfield posted a 9-3 victory over Hofstra Wednesday afternoon at Alumni Baseball Diamond.

The Pride fell to 14-11 on the year while Fairfield improved to 12-16 overall with its fourth consecutive win.

The Pride went up 1-0 in the first, drawing four walks in the innings to force in a run on
Rob Weissheier's free pass. But the Stags responded with three runs in the bottom of the inning. Radziewics had a two-run double in the inning and Blake added a solo home run. Blake drove in his second run in the second as he drew a bases loaded walk.

Dylan Reynolds put Fairfield up, 5-1, with a home run in the fifth but Hofstra got to within two, 5-3, in the sixth as
Tyler White delivered a two-run double. The Pride's comeback attempt was thwarted by Fairfield's four-run seventh inning that made the score 9-3. Ryan had a two-run double in the frame.

Brad Camarda (2-1) started for the Pride and took his first loss of the season after allowing four runs on seven hits in three innings. The freshman walked two and struck out two.

Eli Oliphant started for Fairfield and allowed one run on one hit over four innings. He did walk seven batters and struck out six. Five Stags pitchers held the Pride to five hits on the day, two by White and
Vinnie Costello and one each from
Vito Friscia and Weissheier. Ian Halpin (2-1), who pitched two scoreless innings in relief was credited with the win.

Hofstra is back in action Friday night at 6 p.m. when it opens a three-game Colonial Athletic Association series at Elon.
