Hofstra (16-11, 9-6 Colonial Athletic Association) is coming off a big 90-84 victory over William & Mary on Thursday night as senior
Rokas Gustys tallied his third career 20/20 game with 22 points and 21 rebounds and sophomore
Eli Pemberton scored a game-high 26 points.
With just three regular season games remaining, Hofstra is now tied with William & Mary for third place in the standings. Charleston leads the way at 12-3 with Northeastern in second at 11-4.
Drexel dropped a narrow 75-69 decision at Northeastern on Thursday despite 24 points from Tramaine Isabell. The loss dropped the Dragons record to 11-17 overall and 5-10 in the league.
Hofstra is 40-46 all-time against Drexel in a series that began during the 1958-59 campaign. Hofstra won the first-ever meeting, 70-64, in the Middle Atlantic Championships. Heading into Saturday's game, the Hofstra/Drexel series ranks as the Pride's second-most common opponent all-time as the two schools have met 86 times. Hofstra has only faced one team more as the Pride has met Delaware 88 times. The two teams split the meetings a year ago and Hofstra won this season's earlier matchup, 91-86, in Philadelphia.
