Amherst, NY – Hofstra freshman
Sophia Masciarelli placed 87th to lead the Hofstra Women's Cross Country team to a 30th-place finish at the 2018 NCAA Division I Women's Cross Country Northeast Regional Championship at the Audubon Golf Course Friday afternoon.
Masciello clocked a time of 23:30.5 to conclude her first cross country season with the Pride. Senior
Felicia Banda was the second Hofstra runner in 24:10 to take 133rd place. Sophomore
Megan Boese placed 235th in 27:32.2 while senior
Alli Bacher was 236th in 27:39.3. Sophomore
Alyssa Suits wrapped up the Hofstra roster, placing 243rd in 33:42.9.
As a team, Hofstra placed 30th with 906 points in the 35-team field. Columbia took the team title with 41 points with Dartmouth coming in second with 88 points and Yale finishing third with 94 points. Syracuse's Shannon Malone was the individual medalist in 21:28.
The NCAA Regional is the final meet of the cross country season for the Pride.
