Laura Masciullo recorded 12 kills and freshman
Aisha Skinner added 11 kills and 14 digs to lead the Hofstra Volleyball team to a three-set sweep of the Northeastern Huskies in a Colonial Athletic Association match at the Cabot Center Wednesday night.
Hofstra won by set scores of 25-20, 25-18 and 25-15. The Pride won for the sixth time in their last seven outings as Hofstra improved to 16-6 overall and 6-2 in the CAA. The Huskies fall to 11-10 on the season and 4-4 in conference play.
Junior
Luisa Sydlik tallied 28 assists and a team-high three service aces. Freshman
Maddie Appleton posted a team-high 16 digs and two aces.
Hofstra outhit Northeastern, .292 to .059 and had 9.0 blocks to the Huskies 3.0. The Pride recorded their 11th sweep in a match this season.
The Pride return to action on Friday, October 19 when Hofstra hosts the Tigers of Towson in a CAA match at the David S. Mack Physical Education Center. Match time is 7 p.m.
