Newark, DE - Junior Laura Masciullo had 16 kills, while fellow junior Luisa Sydlik tallied 41 assists and 15 digs to lead the Hofstra Volleyball team to a four-set win over Delaware on Sunday afternoon at the Bob Carpenter Center. 

Hofstra won for the fifth time in the last six matches as the Pride improved to 15-6 overall and 5-2 in Colonial Athletic Association play. Delaware falls to 8-12 and 2-6 in league play. The Pride won by set scores of 25-21, 26-28, 25-15 and 26-24. 

It was the team-leading ninth double-double of the season for Sydlik, while freshman Aisha Skinner posted her seventh double-double of the season with 12 kills and 10 digs. 

Hofstra outhit Delaware in the match, .242 to .192, including a stellar .312 attack percentage in the pivotal third stanza.

The Pride was strong defensively in the contest as they out-dug and out-blocked the Blue Hens. Freshman Maddie Appleton posted a team-high 18 digs for Hofstra, while seniors Michela Rucli and Doris Bogoje each had five blocks for the Pride. Rucli hit .588 in the match with 11 kills on 17 attempts and just one attack error. 

Hofstra returns to action on Wednesday when it travels to Northeastern for a 7 p.m. match. 

NOTES
- Hofstra is now 51-19 all-time against Delaware. The Pride has won three straight in the series against their most played opponent all-time. 
- It was Masciullo's 14 straight match in double figures in kills and Sydlik's 53rd straight match in double figures in assists. 
- Sophomore Ana Martinovic had a season-high 12 digs in the contest.
