Brookline, MA - Moustapha Samb scores on a penalty kick at the 22:20 mark to put Northeastern up, 1-0, as the Huskies ended Hofstra's eight-game unbeaten streak (6-0-2) Wednesday night at Parsons Field with a 3-0 victory.
The goal was the first allowed by the Pride during the unbeaten streak, spanning 784:33.
Hofstra fell to 6-4-3 on the season and 3-1-1 in Colonial Athletic Association play. Northeastern is 4-5-1 overall and 2-1-1 in league action.
After Samb scores for the Huskies, Northeastern got a pair of second half goals five minutes apart to add to its lead. Martin Nygaard put in a free kick from 25-yards out at the 54:27 mark and Harry Swartz converted a pass from Ryan Massoud at the 59:10 mark to close the scoring.
Hofstra had 18 shots on the night but could not solve Northeastern keeper Chandler Cree, who had eight saves on the night.

The Pride is back in action Saturday night at home versus CAA-leading James Madison.
Game time at Hofstra Soccer Stadium is set for 7 p.m.
