MSOC: Hofstra Plays To Scoreless Draw With Charleston

Charleston, S.C. – The Hofstra Men's Soccer team played to a scoreless draw in a Colonial Athletic Association matchup with Charleston on Saturday afternoon at the Soccer Stadium and Patriots Points.

Junior goalkeeper Alex Ashton made four saves as Hofstra (1-3-4, 0-0-2 CAA) played its fourth overtime game in its past five contests. Charleston (2-4-1, 0-1-1 CAA) has gone to overtime in each of its CAA contests so far as well, falling to Northeastern, 1-0, last week.

Senior Danny Elliott had a pair of shots for the Pride, including a last-second chance that went just wide.

Hofstra returns home Wednesday to host Northeastern at 7 p.m. at Hofstra Soccer Stadium.

Notes:
-The all-time series with Charleston now stands at 2-1-2 in favor of the Pride.
-Hofstra is 0-0-4 in overtime contests this season.
