The Pride (4-3-2) is now unbeaten in six of its past seven games after toppling Long Island rival Stony Brook, 1-0, last Thursday. Senior Kristin Desmond scored her team-leading fourth goal to give Hofstra the win. Goalkeepers Jenna Borresen and Ashley Wilson teamed up to earn the Pride its third straight shutout. Borresen has now logged nearly 257 scoreless minutes.

The Blue Hens (3-4-2) went 1-1 last weekend, topping La Salle in overtime before falling to No. 20 Princeton, 3-0. Six of Delaware's 10 contests have needed overtime, and the Blue Hens are 3-1-2 in those games. Jillian Vassallo leads the team with two goals and an assist.

Hofstra holds a 9-3 advantage in the all-time series with the Blue Hens, but Delaware took last season's matchup, 2-1, in Newark.

The Seahawks (4-5-1) also had a 1-1 weekend, falling to East Carolina before picking up a win over Campbell. Freshman Molly McGarry was named CAA Rookie of the Week for the second straight week after scoring both of UNCW's goals against Campbell. She leads the team with four goals and an assist.

Hofstra is 12-5-2 all-time against the Seahawks, but UNCW beat the Pride last season, 4-1, in Wilmington.

Hofstra will then stay at home to host Drexel at 7 p.m. on Sept. 28 at Hofstra Soccer Stadium.
