University Park, Pa. – The Hofstra Men's Soccer team got the season started quickly, with senior
Danny Elliott scoring in the seventh minute to give the Pride a 1-0 win over Penn State on Friday night at Jeffrey Field.
Hofstra (1-0) earned its first-ever win over the Nittany Lions (0-1) improving to 1-1-1 all-time against Penn State. Elliott got the ball at the left edge of the 18-yard box, made a move around a defender and sent a blast into the top right corner to give the Pride the lead it would never relinquish.
Junior goalkeeper
