MGOLF: Cavanaugh Selected To CAA Men's Golf All-Academic Team

Hempstead, NY - Senior Sean Cavanaugh has been named to the 2017 Colonial Athletic Association Men's Golf All-Academic team for his performance in the classroom. The honor marks Cavanaugh's first CAA All-Academic team selection.

Cavanaugh, a native of Encino, California, has a 3.41 overall grade point average as a finance major. He has been a Dean's List student at Hofstra and a CAA Commissioner's Academic Award recipient.

College of Charleston senior William Rainey was named the 2017 CAA Men's Golfer of the Year while teammate Michael Sass was named CAA Rookie of the Year in a vote of the league's nine head coaches. College of Charleston's Mark McEntire was named CAA Coach of the Year for the third time in four seasons.
