MGOLF: Aronson Signs NLI With Hofstra Golf

Hempstead, NY - Hofstra University Men's Golf Coach Joe Elliott announced the signing of Alec Aronson to a National Letter of Intent to attend Hofstra University. Aronson will begin his athletic and academic career in the fall of 2017.

"I am really excited for Alec to join our team in the fall," commented Elliott. "He is very talented and has played at a high-level in the California Interscholastic Federation and in various junior events. I think he will be a great asset to our program."

A Simi Valley, California, native, Aronson comes to Hofstra after a standout career at Chaminade College Preparatory High School in West Hills, California. A two-year captain, Aronson was the Chaminade Golfer of the Year as a freshman in 2014. He was a two-time All-Mission League First Team selection and was named to the Preseason All-Los Angeles Area team prior to the 2017 season.

Aronson has claimed individual championships at the 2016 SoCal Bridgestone Tournament of Champions, the 2016 Oak Valley Cup and the 2016 Old Spring Classic. He finished third at the 2016 Toyota Tour Cup event. He was ranked 873rd in the nation by Junior Golf Scoreboard in their May 24, 2017 rankings.
