The Pride would lead 10-4 at the break as draw controls proved to be the difference early on as Hofstra won 11 of the 15 contested in the opening 30 minutes.

New Hampshire opened the second half with a pair of goals from Krissy Schafer to close the gap to 10-6 before junior Carlee Ancona gave the Pride some additional breathing room with a tally off an assist from Lenaghan with 21:32 left in regulation.

The Wildcats once again added a pair of goals to make it 11-8 before Parrella scored an unassisted goal with 11:52 left to push it to a 12-8 advantage for the Pride.

The four-goal lead would prove to be enough for Hofstra as each team scored once over the next eight minutes before UNH added a goal with eight seconds left to account for the final margin.
