WGOLF: Hofstra Ends Fall Season With Fourth Place Finish At SJU Intercollegiate

Hastings-on-Hudson, NY - The Hofstra University Women's Golf team closed out the 2017 fall season with a fourth place finish at the St. John's Women's Intercollegiate at St. Andrew's Golf Club Tuesday. The Pride shot a team score of 702 (+126) over the course of two rounds.

Larissa Stergiou was the Pride's top finisher, tying for 15th in the 32-player field. The graduate student shot a two-round score of 166 (+22) following rounds of 82 (+10) and 84 (+12). Amanda Bigger was 18th at 171 (+27) with scores of 83 (+11) and 88 (+16). Ana Sofia Rodriguez posted rounds of 89 (+17) and 88 (+16) to finish with a 177 (+33) and tie for 20th place. Shannon Haselton was 23rd at 188 (+44) with rounds of 92 (+20) and 96 (+24), while Katie Krahulik finished 26th at 202 (+58) with rounds of 106 (+34) and 96 (+24).

Brown's Brittany Park was the individual medalist at 147 (+3). Quinnipiac's Alexandra Sazhin was the runner-up at 152 (+8).

Quinnipiac took home the team title with a two-round 626 (+50). Brown was second at 628 (+52), while St. John's was third at 631 (+55). Fairfield followed Hofstra in fifth place at 730 (+154) and St. Francis Brooklyn was sixth at 987 (+411).

Hofstra will return to action in March 2018.
