Wilmington, NC - The Seahawks hit five home runs, tying a season high, as UNCW posted a 10-5 win over Hofstra to clinch the Colonial Athletic Association series win Saturday at Brooks Field.

The Seahawks improved to 30-10 overall and 10-2 in the CAA program record 16th home win in a row. The Pride fell to 13-29, 4-12 in the CAA.

Freshman Alex Royalty (7-2) allowed two runs on 10 hits while striking out six. He did not walk a batter. Hofstra freshman
John Rooney (2-6) took the loss, allowing seven runs on 12 hits in three innings.

Brad Witkowski led Hofstra with three hits, while
Chris Hardardt,
David Leiderman and
Tom Archer each chipped in two hits.
Max Dolente hit a three-run home run in the eighth, his third of the season.

The Seahawks, which led 10-1 after six innings, got home runs from Steven Linkous, Brian Mims, Nick Feight, Casey Golden and Kennard McDowell. Â UNCW had 20 hits on the afternoon.
