Baltimore, MD – Senior midfielder
Becky Conto had a pair of goals for the Pride, but the Hofstra Women's Lacrosse team dropped a 17-3 decision to #19 Johns Hopkins on Sunday afternoon at Homewood Field.
Hofstra falls to 0-5 with the loss, while Johns Hopkins improves to 5-3 with the victory.
The Pride got on the board first in the contest as graduate attacker
Lindsay Scott tallied her 18th goal of the season off an assist from junior attacker
Tiana Parrella just 94 seconds into the game.
Back-to-back goals from CeCe Finney of JHU over the next six minutes would give the Blue Jays the lead for good as they scored the final 11 goals of the first half.
Conto would score both of her goals in the final 18 minutes of the game as she had an unassisted tally with 18:05 left before scoring a free-position goal with 7:33 remaining in the contest.
Scott has now scored at least one goal in all five of the Pride's games this season, while Parrella is in the midst of a three-game scoring streak.
