Juan'ya Green had 19 points and 12 assists, while sophomore center
Rokas Gustys continued his outstanding second season with 18 points and 21 rebounds to lead the Hofstra Men's Basketball team to a come-from-behind, 77-66, victory over Delaware on Saturday evening at the Bob Carpenter Center.
The 21 rebounds tied Gustys' career-high set against UNCW on February 4.
Hofstra, which trailed by eight points with nine minutes remaining, used a game-closing 12-1 run to capture the win.
The Pride won both games during the road trip to improve to 18-8 and 10-4 in Colonial Athletic Association play. Delaware falls to 6-19 and 1-13 in conference action. Hofstra is now in sole possession of second place in the league.
Delaware got on the board first, tallying the first four points of the contest, before Hofstra went on a huge run.
Over the next five minutes, Hofstra would put together a 20-2 run to open up a 20-6 advantage following a three-pointer from Green with 14:36 left before intermission. Green tallied eight points during the run for Hofstra, while senior forward
Ameen Tanksley drained a pair of long-range shots to get the run started.
The Pride would still hold an 11-point advantage, 25-14, before the Blue Hens had a significant run of their own as they scored 12 straight to take a one-point lead, 26-25, with 4:04 remaining in the opening stanza.
It would be quiet final four minutes of the first half with each team only scoring one bucket the rest of the way.
A three-pointer from Kory Holden at the 14:48 mark of the second half would push the Delaware lead to nine, 45-36, before Tanksley started and led a 7-0 scoring run for Hofstra to close the gap to 45-43 with less than 13 minutes remaining in regulation. After Hofstra got to within one, 47-46, on a three-pointer from Green, Delaware scored seven straight points, culminating with a basket from Maurice Jeffers, to make it 54-46 with nine minutes left.
Trailing by five, 56-51, Hofstra scored 10 of the next 12 points in the game to retake the lead at 61-58 with 5:07 left after a three-pointer from junior guard

The game would be knotted at 65 with less than three minutes left before Hofstra showed its muscle and used a 12-0 run to take a commanding lead with 17 seconds left. Green gave Hofstra the lead for good, while graduate forward
Denton Koon drained a huge three-pointer with 1:15 left to make it a five-point game.
Tanksley finished with 15 points, while Koon added 13 for the Pride.
Holden led all scorers with 23 points, while Marvin King-Davis totaled 16 points and eight rebounds for the Blue Hens.
Hofstra will now return home for a pair of games. The Pride will host Towson on February 18 before taking on Northeastern on February 21. The game against the Huskies will air nationally on the NBC Sports Network.

NOTES- Hofstra leads the all-time series with Delaware, 52-31, and has won four straight in the series.
- For Gustys it was his 15th double-double of the season. It ties the program's CAA-era record for double-doubles in a single season.
